Zoo Atlanta is a zoo in Atlanta, USA. The zoo was established in 1889 when businessman George V. Gress purchased a bankrupt travelling circus and donated the animals to the city of Atlanta, the zoo has existed ever since. It is the home of over 1500 animals that cover 220 types of animal species. The zoo has different themed areas to suit different animals, with habitats that include the African plains and rainforest. It is a place for all of the family to visit.
If travelling by car, there is onsite parking available to visitors. The 838 bus travels to the zoo. ‘King Memorial Transit’ stop on the Blue and Green metro lines is a 10-minute walk away from the zoo.
Opening Times and Admission
The zoo is open seven days a week, 9.30am-4.30pm on weekdays and 9.30am-5.30pm on weekends. Admission to the zoo is set at 25.99$ for adults and 17.99$ for children. Discounted prices are available if you book online.
