General Information
World Museum is a museum in Liverpool, England that is dedicated to covering archaeology, ethnology and the natural and physical sciences. The museum was established in 1851 but it was extremely popular so a larger building was needed, in 1860 a purpose built Library and Museum building was opened on William Brown Street in Liverpool city centre. The museums building is as impressive as its collection. The museum has a big emphasis on zoology, owning live colonies of insects that live in the museum.
Getting there
The museum is situated within the city centre. It is a 2-minute walk away from ‘Liverpool’ bus station and ‘Liverpool Lime Street’ train station. If travelling by car head for the city centre, there are plenty of local car parks to the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open daily 10am-5pm. The museum is free for all to enter. There are an onsite cafe and shop.
