General Information
Wellington Botanic Garden is a botanical garden situated in the city of Wellington, New Zealand. The garden covers around 60 acres of land most of which is a protected native forest. The garden is mainly filled with areas of native plants but does have some imported plants most notable are the roses featured in the Rose Garden. A number of buildings feature in the gardens such as a glasshouse and a Begonia house. The garden is a wonderfully picturesque place, ideal for an afternoon stroll outdoors.
Getting there
The garden is situated in the city centre. You can get there by cable car. You can also walk from most other sights of the city. The 2, 13, 33 and 34 buses all stop at the garden.
Opening Times and Admission
The garden is open daily from dawn till dusk. Entry is free.
