General Information

Wales Millennium Centre is an arts centre situated in the Cardiff Bay area of Cardiff, Wales. The centre is a performing arts centre, hosting the national opera, dance and theatre companies. It was opened in 2004 and consists of one large theatre with a capacity for over 1000 people and two smaller halls with other spaces consisting of shops and restaurants. The centre is recognisable from its facade which includes a large Calligraphy.

Getting there

By car, take junction 33 of the M4 and follow the signs, there are local car parks around the Cardiff Bay area. The closest train station is ‘Cardiff Central’, from there you can get the ‘Baycar’ bus service that is a shuttle bus to and from Cardiff Bay and Cardiff Central.

Opening Times and Admission

The best way to visit the centre is by attending a show, listings are available on the centre's website. You can also shop and eat at the centre if you are in the area without having to attend a show.

Theatre show


Attended a theatre show here with the wife. Really iconic building and the inside is tidy and clean. Staff were good too as was the show.
