General Information

Vilnius Cathedral (Cathedral Basilica of St Stanislaus and St Ladislaus of Vilnius) is a Roman Catholic Cathedral in Vilnius, Lithuania. The cathedral is the most important Catholic site in Lithuania, it is dedicated to St Stanislaus and St Ladislaus. The cathedral was opened in 1783, it is an impressive Neoclassical building that has a majestic interior. It has been the site of many Lithuanian coronations over the years and it contains the crypts of many famous Lithuanians. Inside the cathedral, there are 40 works of art including frescoes and paintings.

Getting there

The cathedral is situated in the north of the city centre. You can get there on foot from most areas of the city centre. You can also get there by bus, take the 10, 11, 33 or 89 buses which stop outside of the cathedral.

Opening Times and Admission

The cathedral is open to visitors daily, 7am-7pm.
