General Information
Vancouver Art Gallery is an art gallery in the Canadian city of Vancouver. The art gallery was established in 1931 and since 1983 it has been housed in the imposing former provincial courthouse building. The gallery has a collection of around 11,000 works of art, which includes notable pieces by Emily Carr, Jeff Wall and Marc Chagall. As well as its own collection, the gallery also displays travelling exhibitions.
Getting there
The gallery is a short walk away from the ‘Waterfront’ train, metro and bus station in the city centre of Vancouver.
Opening Times and Admission
The gallery is open to the public daily 10am-5pm except for Tuesdays when the gallery is open till 9 pm. Admission is set at $22.80 for adults, $19 for seniors and $6.20 for children.
