General Information
Ueno Park is a public park situated in Tokyo, Japan. Established in 1873 on land that was formerly part of the temple of Kan’ei-Ji, the park was opened as one of the country's first public parks. The park has numerous museums located in its grounds. It is well known for its cherry blossoms in spring, with around 8000 trees in the park it makes for some picturesque views.
Getting there
If travelling to the park by car, there is onsite parking available. The best option is to travel by public transport, with the ‘Ueno’ train station situated next to the park; which is accessible by many of the city's train lines.
Opening Times and Admission
The park is a public park, it is free to enter. The park is open from 5am-11pm daily.
