General Information
Trajan’s Market is a large complex of ancient ruins located on the Via dei Fori Imperiali in the city of Rome, Italy. The buildings were built around 100-110 AD as part of the Trajan Forum, the forum was improved upon in the Middle Ages with defensive elements being added. The market gives an insight into Roman Architecture.
Getting there
The ruins are situated close to the Colosseum. The closest metro stop to the ruins is the ‘Colosseo’ stop on metro line B. Buses 117, 40, 60, 64, 70, 80, 85 175, 186, 271 and 571 stop close by to the ruins.
Opening Times and Admission
The ruins are open to the public six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday 9am-7pm. Prices are set at 9.50 euros for adults with concession prices also available.
