The Town Hall Tower is a tower situated on the Main Market Square in the Old Town area of Krakow, Poland. The Gothic tower was built in the 13th century from mainly brick and stone, it was originally part of the town hall which was later demolished. The tower which stands at 70m tall has a slight lean which was thought to have been caused by a storm in the 17th century. The tower has had to be renovated over the years due to weather etc. but stands as a magnificent towering structure of Old Town, Krakow. An observation deck now exists at the top of the tower, providing spectacular views of the city.
The tower is situated on Main Market Square, which is within a walkable distance from most other locations in the city such as the train station, if walking is not for you then a taxi might be a better option.
Opening Times and Admission
The observation deck in the tower is open from 11am-5pm every day except the first Tuesday of each month and all of the month of January. Admission to the tower is 9PLN with family tickets available for 18PLN.
