General Information
The Torres de Quart, also known as ‘Puerta de Quart’ is a fortified gate of the former city wall that stood in Valencia, Spain. Built in the 15th century by Pere Bonfill, the sun facing gate gives a view out in the direction of Madrid. The towers were built to a Gothic style and became known as ‘The Limestone Towers’ due to the cities limestone imports arriving through its gate.
Getting there
The best way to get to the sight is by bus, the number 5 line goes directly to the gate, alternatively, the buses numbered 2, 60, 63, 64 and 80 also travel towards the gate.
Opening Times and Admission
The tower is free to enter and is open six days a week, Tuesday to Saturday 10am-2pm and 4.30pm-8.30pm as well as Sundays from 10am-3pm; the tower is closed on Mondays.
