General Information
Tokyo Disneyland is a theme park that is operated by The Oriental Land Company with licences from the Walt Disney Franchise, it is situated in Tokyo, Japan. The park which was the first Disneyland to be built outside of the USA was opened in 1983 and covers 115 acres of land. Tokyo Disneyland is now part of a large resort which contains hotels and a DisneySea. Tokyo Disneyland has seven themed areas, many of the themes mirror the original themes. The park is known for its large open spaces. It accommodates around 16 million people a year and is the third busiest theme park in the world.
Getting there
The best way to get to the park is by public transport with trains running from the city centre to the closest stop to the complex ‘Maihama Station’. The complex is situated just off the motorway and parking is available at the complex at a cost. When at the complex a monorail is in operation that takes you to different areas.
Opening Times and Admission
Tickets for Disneyland can be purchased in advance online or on the day at the park, tickets are priced at 7400Yen for adults with concessions tickets also available. Disneyland is open from 8am-10pm daily.
