General Information
Tjörnin is a lake in the centre of Reykjavik, Iceland. The city of Reykjavik rises around the lake, most visitors to the city pass by its shores. It is a peaceful place in the city centre, popular with people feeding the birds that live on or around the lake earning the lake the title of ‘The biggest bread soup in Europe’. The lake is bordered by the City Hall and numerous coloured houses.
Getting there
The lake is situated in the city centre. It is within walking distance of most of the city.

The lake is situated in a public area, it is free to visit at any hour of any day.
