The Big Fish is a statue situated in Belfast, Northern Ireland. It is a printed ceramic mosaic sculpture of a fish that was created by John Kindness. Each scale on the fish sculpture represents a part of the city of Belfast's history with a story or a picture printed on them. It is a unique way to learn about the city of Belfast.

Getting there

The fish is situated by the river that runs through the city. The 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10 and 20 buses all stop near the statue at ‘Queens Square’ which is a short walk away.

Opening Times and Admission

You can visit the statue for free at any hour of any day as it is situated in a public space. Although it is best to visit in daylight.
