Telstra Tower (Black Mountain Tower) is a telecommunications and lookout tower situated on Black Mountain in the Australian capital city, Canberra. It was opened in 1980 and is a 195-metre tall spike-like structure. The tower is used to provide important telecommunication for the city of Canberra. The tower also has an observation deck that offers stunning panoramic views over Australia's capital city and neighbouring land.
Getting there
If travelling to the tower by car, there is an onsite car park available for visitors to use. The 81 and 981 bus services stop at the bottom of the mountain.
Opening Times and Admission
The tower has an observation deck, shop and cafe. These are open daily from 9am-10pm. Admission is priced at 7.50$ for adults and 3$ for concessions.
