Taksim Square is a public square in Istanbul, Turkey. The square is situated in the European area of the city of Istanbul. The square is bordered by shops, bars, restaurants and nightlife. The square is the home of the Republic Monument. Taksim square is a meeting place for both locals and tourists due to its location in the heart of modern Istanbul.
Getting there
The square is a bit of a transport hub. It has its own metro station ‘Taksim’ which is accessible by the M2 line. The 25, 37, 40, 48, 49 and 128 buses all stop close to the square.

The square is open at all hours, it is a public square which means it is free to use.
