Sun Voyager is a monument located in Reykjavik, Iceland. The monument sculpture was designed by Jon Gunnar Arnason, it is a stainless steel Viking ship like structure said to resemble the promise of undiscovered territory, a dream of hope, progress and freedom. The monument was unveiled in 1990 on the waterfront in Reykjavik.
The monument is situated on the coastal path. You can walk to the monument from most areas of the city centre. The closest bus stop is a few minutes walk away at ‘Bio Paradis’, the 1, 3, 6, 11, 12, 101, 103 and 111 buses stop there.
