Stradun which is also known as Placa is the City of Dubrovnik’s main street, it runs for 300 metres and is a pedestrianised street made with Limestone paving. The street also runs through the city's old town which is surrounded by the Walls of Dubrovnik and the street is also home to many more sights which tourists flock too. It is one of the busiest parts of the city as it is used for events, such as New Year celebrations. Most of the current buildings on the street date back to the 17th century and were built in a similar style, with a shop on the ground floor and living space in the floors above. Stradun has seen recent fame as well as the City of Dubrovnik through hit television show Game of Thrones. Cersei Lannister’s famous walk of shame, where she was forced to march naked through the streets to pay for her sins was filmed on Stradun Street.
The street is situated in the centre of the city so is easily accessible on foot.
