General Information
State Tretyakov Gallery is an art gallery situated in the city of Moscow, Russia. The gallery focuses on fine art. The gallery was established in 1856 but it did not move to its current home till 1904. The collection at the gallery is thought to number around 130,000 items. It has some notable pieces in the collection such as the ‘Theotokos of Vladimir’ and ‘Trinity’. The gallery is well worth a visit for any art lover.
Getting there
You can get there by taking the metro lines 6 or 8 to ‘Tretyakovskaya’, which is a short walk away. The m5 bus also stops close to the gallery.
Opening Times and Admission
The gallery is open to visitors six days of the week; Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday 10am-6pm and Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10am-9pm. Admission is set at 500Rbl for adults.
