Stadion Maksimir is a football stadium in the Croatian city of Zagreb, which is home to Croatian football club Dinamo Zagreb. The stadium was first opened in 1912 and gets its name from the area of Zagreb that it is situated in Maksimir. The stadium has been redeveloped numerous times since its opening with the latest being in 1997. As well as hosting Dinamo Zagreb, the stadium also hosts the national football side and music concerts.
The stadium borders Maksimir Park, so it is ideal to take in both sights together. The stadium is accessible by tram, with the 11 or 12 recommended from the city centre.
Opening Times and Admission
The football club who use the stadium as its home run tours for visitors in which you will be shown around all parts of the stadium and given a history of the club and the stadium by the guide. Tours around the stadium run on working days between 9 am and 5 pm and tickets for the tour costs 20KN and 10KN for concessions.
