General Information

Spice Bazaar is a market in Istanbul, Turkey. The market is predominantly a spice market but traders also sell Turkish delight, sweets, dried fruit and nuts, jewellery and souvenir items. The market building is part of the Yeni Camii complex. The market is the most famous covered market in the city after the Grand Bazaar. It is the place to visit to purchase local spices.

Getting there

The market is situated at the Yeni Camii complex. You can take the T1 tram to ‘Eminonu’ which is a short walk away. By bus, take the 81, BN1 or BN2 buses which stop at ‘Eminonu’.

Opening Times and Admission

The market is open seven days a week, 8am-7pm except for Saturday (8am-7.30pm) and Sunday (9.30am-7pm). The market is free to enter.
