Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is a museum in Shanghai, China, that is dedicated to science and technology. The museum was opened in 2001 in a purpose-built building that has five floors that rise in a spiral to symbolise scientific progress. The museum promotes science, education, cultural and ideological progress and aims at offering visitors a unique experience in the modern scientific discipline under the theme of 'Nature, People and Science'. The museum provides people with a real in-depth education of science with many modern theories exhibited across numerous scientific subjects.
The museum has its own station stop on metro line 2, ‘Shanghai Science and Technology Museum’ Station. The 2 and 4 buses also stop at the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days a week, Tuesday to Sunday 9am-5.15pm except for Mondays. Admission is set at 60CNY for adults and 30CNY for kids.
