General Information
One of the longest and busiest malls in Australia is the Rundle Mall that is situated in the city centre of Adelaide, Australia. The mall was established in 1976 when part of Rundle Street was pedestrianised. Since then it has become the centrepiece of Adelaide’s city centre with many high-end shops jostling for a place at the mall. The mall consists of 4 department stores, a large number of retailers, themed arcades and a large seating area. The mall is line with different sculptures, including sculptures of a group of pigs. The Rundle Mall is the main place for socialising in the city.
Getting there
The mall is in the centre of the city, it is a couple of minutes walk away from the main train station of the city ‘Adelaide Train Station’. Trams also run to the mall, head for the ‘Rundle Mall’ tram stop. You can also get there by bus, the 170, 172, 174, 176 and 178 all stop there.
Opening Times and Admission
The mall is free to enter at any time of day. The different shops and bars all operate on their own schedules so they will be open at differing times of the day.
