General Information

The Royal Armouries Museum is a national museum that shows English arms and armoury, the museum is situated in Leeds, England. The museum is held in a purpose-built building on Leeds Dock that opened in 1996. As well as displaying English arms and armoury the museum also has collections from around the world which are displayed in six themed galleries.

Getting there

The museum is situated in the Docklands area of Leeds. It is a 20-minute walk from Leeds station. Buses regularly travel from the city centre to the museum, get on either the 28 or 70 buses. If travelling by car, a multi-storey car park is only a 5-minute walk away from the museum.

Opening Times and Admission

The museum is open to visitors seven days of the week from 10am-5pm. Entrance to the museum is free for both adults and children. Normal museum rules are applied and expected to be followed by guests.
