General Information
Römerberg is a square situated in the city of Frankfurt, Germany. The square has existed for many centuries and was formerly used frequently as a market square. Markets still run on the square but now only at Christmas. The square is at the heart of the medieval district, it is bordered by the Romer City Hall and other historic buildings.
Getting there
The square is situated in the city centre. The 11 and 12 trams stop at the square at the ‘Romer’ stop. The U-Bahn also stops at the square at the ‘Dom/Romer’ stop, the U4 and U5 lines travel there.
Opening Times and Admission
The square is a public square, it is free to visit at any hour of any day.
Colourful both on the eye with the buildings that are situated round the square and colourful with life, many people seemed to pass through here or stop off to have a bite to eat and a drink on one of the squares cafe's and bars.
