General Information
The Rogers Centre, previously known as the ‘SkyDome’ is a multipurpose venue in Toronto, Canada. The venue is primarily used as a sports venue and is home to Toronto’s baseball franchise, the Toronto Blue Jays. It was also the previous home of many other Toronto sports teams, the venue is now also used for concerts, trade fairs and monster truck shows. The stadium opened in 1989, it was designed by Rod Robbie. The stadium has a capacity of around 53,500, it has a fully retractable roof as well as a connecting 346 room hotel, of which 70 rooms look onto the pitch.
Getting there
The stadium is situated in Downtown Toronto. It is within walking distance of one of the city's main transport hubs ‘Union’ Station which is served by trains, metro and buses.
Opening Times and Admission
The best way to visit the stadium is by attending a baseball match in the baseball season. Alternatively, you can attend a stadium tour, which runs daily. The tours are priced at 17$ for adults and 13$ for concessions.
