The Rocky Statue is a statue of fictional character Rocky Balboa from the film franchise Rocky, the statue is situated in Philadelphia, USA. The statue was originally created for the movie ‘Rocky III’ but was seen as being a popular addition to the city, so was left outside of the Philadelphia Art Museum after filming. But it was removed as the art museum did not see it as a piece of art. The statue was moved to its current location which is near the bottom of the art museum steps. It is a popular sight for sightseers with many queuing for a selfie.
If travelling by car, head for the Art Museum the museum has a local parking garage; it will set you back 12$ to park there. If travelling by bus, the 7, 32, 38, 43, and 48 bus routes all stop at the museum near the steps. The closest subway station is ‘Race Vine’, this is a 5-minute walk away from the Rocky statue and steps.
