General Information
Rembrandt House is the former home of famous painter Rembrandt that now acts as a museum that displays his artwork, the house is situated in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Rembrandt lived at the house from 1639 till 1656. The interior of the house has been reconstructed since. The collection on display in the house contains Rembrandt's etchings and paintings of his contemporaries. The Rembrandt House Museum shows the unknown aspects of the famous painter’s life and his artistic craft.
Getting there
If travelling by car, the closest car park is at Stopera. If travelling by tram, take the 9 or 14 lines to ‘Waterlooplein’ stop. The museum is a 15-minute walk away from Dam Square.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open daily, 10am-6pm. Admission is set at 13 euros for adults and 4 euros for concessions.
Thought the museum was fairly average. Probably slightly overpriced when you consider the collection but will be worth a visit if you are an art enthusiast.
