Red Rock Canyon is a Canyon and national conservation area located 15 miles west of Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The area consists of large red rock formations and sandstone peaks, some standing at over 3000 ft tall; the highest point is La Madre mountain which is 8,154ft tall. The area is a popular spot for hiking and mountain biking. Its terrain also makes it popular with rock climbers with many walls available to climb. The area is maintained by the Bureau of Land Management.
The area is accessible by car, there is a loop road that accesses most of the conservation area with little car parks available on the road for people stopping off to explore the area.
