Prague Castle is a castle complex in the capital city of the Czech Republic, Prague. The castle's construction started in the 9th century and lasted until the 20th century. It is built to a Baroque and Mannerism architectural style. It is currently the office of the President of the Czech Republic but has been home to Kings, Emperors and other state people of the country. The castle is recognised as the largest ancient castle in the world.
Access to the castle is pretty easy, it is rather large so it is accessible from many points. The easiest way to get there is by the 22 tram to ‘Prazsky Hrad’. Other transport options are by either taking the metro line A or just simply walking.
Opening Times and Admission
The castle has many different buildings with different opening hours but the main opening time is set at 9am-5pm for the buildings of the castle, but the actual castle complexes grounds are open from 6am-10pm. Access to the castle is set at 350CZK but prices vary depending on what part of the castle you want to visit.
