General Information
The largest urban park in Portugal is the Porto City Park situated in Porto. The park was designed by the architect Sidonio Pardal, it was opened in 1993 and covers 83 hectares. The park is a major part of life in Porto with many locals using the park regularly for a day out. The park has lots to offer with beautiful scenic works, jogging routes, gardens, lawns and a lake. The park is located next to the Atlantic sea and has direct access to the local beaches.
Getting there
The best way to get to the park is by bus, with the 205, 502 and 504 buses all stop close to the park. The closest metro station is the ‘Parque de Real’ which is a 10-15 minute walk away.
Opening Times and Admission
The park is free to access for all. It is open daily 7am-12am.
