Plaza Nueva(New Square) is a monumental square situated in Bilbao, Spain. The square was built to a Neoclassical style in 1821, it gets its name from the old square which used to stand on the spot. The square is enclosed by buildings and is accessed through arches. The square is home to a weekly flea market and is also a venue for demonstrations, festivals and concerts throughout the year.
The square is a short 5 minute walk away from the central transport hub of Bilbao, ‘Bilbao’. Trains, trams and buses start and stop there.

The square is a public square, it is open 24 hours a day every day. Its perimeter buildings host shops, restaurants and bars.
