General Information

The Plaza de Cibeles is a square in the Spanish capital city, Madrid. The square was originally the plaza of Madrid but had its name changed twice to get to its current name. The square divides the district boundaries among Madrid. It is also well known for being the home of football club Real Madrid’s trophy celebrations.

Getting there

The square is located at an intersection of Alcala Street, Paseo de Recoletos and Paseo del Prado. Cibeles fountain and palace are situated on the square. It is accessible by the city's subway system with line 2’s ‘Banco de Espana’ station being the closest.

Opening Times and Admission

The square is a public square and is open to people at all hours.
