The Place des Jacobins is a public square situated in the French city of Lyon. The square was created in 1556 but it didn't have its centrepiece fountain added until 1856. The square is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is seen as one of the most famous squares in Lyon due to the amount of traffic that passes the square, with 12 streets leading to there.
The square is situated in the 2nd arrondissement of Lyon. There are plenty of car parks close to the square, the best option is ‘LPA park- Republique’. If travelling using public transport, take the underground lines A or B to ‘Bellecour’ which is a few minutes walk away.

The square is a public square, it is free to enter at any hour of any day throughout the year.
