General Information

The Petrin Lookout Tower is a tower in Prague, Czech Republic. The tower was built in 1891 and was opened as an observation deck as well as a transmission tower. The steel-framed tower is seen as a little version of the French Eiffel Tower. The tower stands at 63.5 metres in height and provides fantastic views of the city. 

Getting there

The tower is situated on a hill. The best way to get there is by public transport. By tram, head to the ‘Ujezd’ stop by taking the 9, 12, 15, 20 or 22 trams. Once at ‘Ujezd’ take the funicular railway up the hill to the tower.

Opening Times and Admission

The Lookout Tower is open daily, in winter it is open from 10am-6pm but in the summer months, the tower doesn't close till 10 pm. Access prices for the observation deck are set at 150CZK for adults with discounted prices available for concessions. The tower has lift access for people with any disabilities or those who find it hard to climb steps. A cafe is open at the tower.
