Pérez Art Museum Miami is a contemporary art museum situated in Downtown Miami, USA. The museum was founded in 1984 as the ‘Centre for Fine Arts’, it became known as the ‘Miami Art Museum’ from 1996 until it was renamed again to its current name as the museum moved to its current home in 2013 at Museum Park. The purpose-built home of the museum was designed by Herzog & de Meuron architects. The museum has a collection that consists of over 1,800 works mainly 20th and 21st-century art from the Americas, Western Europe and Africa.
Getting there
The museum is situated at Museum Park in the city. It has an onsite car park available to its visitors. It is accessible by Metro, the closest station is ‘Museum Park’. The 3, 93, 119 and 120 bus services stop close by.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days of the week, Thursday to Tuesday. Its usual opening time is 10am-6pm except for Thursdays when the museum closes later at 9 pm; Wednesdays are a weekly day of closure. Admission is set at 16$ for adults and 12$ for concessions.
