General Information

Park of Montagnola is a public park situated in Bologna, Italy. The park was opened in the early 17th century, it was redesigned by Giovanni Battista Martinetti in the 19th century. It is the oldest park in Bologna, it has always been used for sports, performances and other events. The park has monumental stairs and a circular basin in the middle of its green gardens. The park offers a place to relax in the city with centuries-old plane-trees providing shaded areas in the summer months.  

Getting there

The park is situated in the city centre. It is a very short walk away from the city’s main transport hub, ‘Bologna’.

Opening Times and Admission

The park is a public park, it is free to enter and is open from 7am-9pm daily.
