General Information

Parc de la Tête d'Or is a large park in Lyon, France. The park was created in 1857 and covers 290 acres of land. The park has a bit of something for everyone which makes it the most popular park in the city. It features a large lake that is used for boating activities, lengthy trails that are popular with joggers, large open green areas which are popular with people looking to relax and it also contains a sports area and a zoo.

Getting there

If you are travelling by car, there is free parking available on ‘Boulevard Stalingrad’ or ‘Boulevard des Belges’. If you are using public transport take the metro line A to ‘Massena’ and then take bus C1, C6 or C38.

Opening Times and Admission

The park is open daily from 6.30am-10.30pm, it is free to access but some areas may require a fee; such as the zoo and the sports area.
