Dominant in the skyline of Thessaloniki, Greece, is the OTE Tower. The tower is a telecommunications tower and an observation deck that provides elevated views over Thessaloniki and beyond. It was opened in 1966 having been built to the designs of Greek architect A. Anastasiadis. It provided black and white tv broadcasts to the city, today it is used for cellular mobile communications. The space inside the tower is used for exhibitions amongst other purposes.
The tower is situated in the city centre. You can get there on foot from most areas of the city.
