General Information
Old Market Square is a public square in the city of Nottingham, England. It is the largest square in the whole of the United Kingdom covering 5.4 acres of land. The square is dominated by the Town Hall of the city but is also bordered by shops, bars and restaurants. The square has always been a meeting place in the city of Nottingham, in modern times due to it being such a large open space it is used of local events which include concerts and fairs. The squares features include a speakers corner, lion sculptures and a fountain as well as a tram stop.
Getting there
The square is situated in the city centre of Nottingham. The square has its own tram stop ‘Old Market Square’. It is a 5-10 minute walk away from the city's main train station. If travelling there by car, the closest car park is ‘NCP Nottingham City Centre’.
