General Information
Old Market Hall is a marketplace in the city of Helsinki, Finland. It has existed since 1889, in a purpose-built brick building. Traders at the market specialise mainly in fresh food with cheese, fish and meats all on sale on their stalls. The market has a friendly atmosphere and is a great place in the city to go to experience Finnish culture and trade.
Getting there
The Old Market Hall is situated near Market Square. The 2 and 2H trams stop at ‘Salutorget’ which is just a short walk away from the market. The 17 bus also stops near the market.
Opening Times and Admission
The market is open six days of the week, Monday to Saturday 10am-6pm. You can enter the market for free.
