The New York Stock Exchange located on Wall Street in the American city of New York, is the world's largest stock exchange. The companies listed on the stock exchange make it one of the most important in the world, it has an estimated value of 21 trillion dollars and an average daily trading value of 169 billion dollars. The building the NYSE is housed in on Wall Street was opened in 1903 to a Classical Revival style, inside it is a thriving place of business with 21 rooms facilitated for trading purposes. The famous bell is rung to announce the start of trading. The building was made a National Historic Landmark in 1978.
To get to the building take the 4 or 5 subway trains to the ‘Wall Street’ stop.
Opening Times and Admission
Unfortunately due to security reasons, you cannot tour or enter the New York Stock Exchange if you are a regular member of the public. You can however view the building from the outside.
