General Information

The National Waterfront Museum is a museum situated in Swansea, Wales. The museum was opened in a purpose-built building in 2005, the slate and glass building was designed by Wilkinson Eyre and Land Design Studio. The museum focuses on Wales’ industrial revolution and innovation. It has displays on its history of maritime, transport and technology. The museum is a good place to visit to learn about Wales, it features all the modern museum techniques which includes interactive features; the museum also has multilingual voice-overs in its exhibits.

Getting there

If travelling by car, there is a large car park close by at the leisure centre. The museum is a 5-10 minute walk away from ‘Swansea Train Station.

Opening Times and Admission

The museum is open daily 10am-5pm and admission is free to all.
