General Information
The Museum of the Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot is a museum dedicated to telling the story of people who follow the Jewish faith, it is situated at Tel Aviv University in Tel Aviv, Israel. The museum opened in 1978. It serves the purposes of both educating non-believers on the Jewish faith and the history of the faith and its people; it also aims to strengthen the faith of visiting Jewish people by enabling them to connect with their roots. The museum has various exhibitions that educate on different areas of Jewish history and society.
Getting there
The museum is situated at the Tel Aviv University. It is a 5-minute walk away from ‘Tel Aviv University’ train station. The 7, 25, 36, 45, 100, 107, 271, 289, 464 and 467 buses all stop close to the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days of the week. Monday to Wednesday 10am-5pm, Thursday 10am-10pm, Friday 9am-2pm and Saturday 10am-3pm. Admission is set at 49NIS for adults and 24NIS for children.
