General Information
The Museum of European and Mediterranean Civilisations is a national museum of France situated in Marseille. The museum was established in 2013 as part of the Marseille-Provence. It is a museum that focuses on and celebrates European and Mediterranean civilisations from the past to the present through permanent and temporary exhibitions. The museum is held in a purpose-built building next to Fort Saint-Jean.
Getting there
The museum is situated on the waterfront. It is a 10-15 minute walk away from the city’s central train station. The 60 bus travels to the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open six days of the week, Wednesday to Monday 11am-6pm; Tuesdays are a weekly day of closure. Admission is set at 9.50 euros for adults and 5 euros for concessions.
