The Museum of Broken Relationships was established in 2010 in the Croatian capital, Zagreb. The museum was founded by two Zagreb based artists after their relationship broke up they had the idea of showing people items from the failed relationship that neither wanted to keep, they displayed this in an exhibit in Croatia before taking it across the world with people contributing items from their own failed relationships. In 2010 they finally decided to open up a museum in Zagreb to permanently display the collection, it has seen great success over the years and displays objects from failed love relationships to other human relationships with a hope that it will engage people into a discussion over relationships and how they treat others.
The museum is accessible by the city's tram system with local stops in walking distance, the closest stop is ‘Frankopanska’ on the 1, 6, 11, 12, 13, 14 and 17 lines. The 150 bus also travels close to the museum.
