Museo Soumaya is a museum situated over two sites in Mexico City, Mexico. The museum was founded by Carlos Slim and is named after his late wife Soumaya Domit. The museum was originally located in the Plaza Loreto building but most of its collection was moved to a new purpose built state of the art building, Plaza Carso, in 2011. The museum is an art museum with a collection of over 66,000 works which includes sculptures and paintings from Mexico and Europe.
To get to the main building at Plaza Carso take the ‘Ruta 3’ bus that stops close to the museum.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open everyday 10.30am-6.30pm and entrance is free to all.
