General Information
Museo Picasso Malaga is a museum dedicated to Pablo Picasso who was born in the city where the museum is situated, Malaga, Spain. The museum was opened in 2003 in the Buenavista Palace, it is operated by the ‘Fundación Museo Picasso Málaga. Legado Paul, Christine y Bernard Ruiz-Picasso’. The museum contains 285 pieces of Picasso’s works which were donated by his family. The collection includes paintings, sculptures and drawings, some of which were part of his sketchbook that was donated. The museum also contains a library which is full of articles on Picasso.
Getting there
The museum is situated in the centre of Malaga. The best way to get there is by bus with the 1, 36, 37 and C1 buses all stopping close by.
Opening Times and Admission
The museum is open daily, 10am-7pm except for winter months when the museum closes at 6 pm. Admission to the museum is set at 8 euros for adults and 6 euros for concessions.
