Musée des Confluences is a science centre and anthropology museum in the city of Lyon, France. The science centre and museum is a fairly recent addition to the city, it was opened in 2014 as part of a redevelopment project in the area of Lyon that it is situated. The architecture of the building is different from the norm, it is a deconstructivist design that is described as looking like a ‘floating crystal cloud of stainless steel and glass’. The museum has collections of natural sciences, anthropology and earth sciences, it has four major permanent exhibitions that display those categories.
The museum is situated on the Rhone riverfront. Parking in the area is fairly limited. If using public transport, use the T1 tram line and get off at the museum's stop, ‘Musee des Confluences’.
