The Monasterio de Santa Clara la Real is a monastery in the city of Murcia, Spain. The Roman Catholic monastery originates from the 14th century. It is known for its architecture, which is thought to be the oldest example of Islamic architecture in the area. As well as Islamic architecture the monastery also has Baroque and Gothic elements.
Getting there
Monasterio de Santa Clara is situated in the city centre. The 6, 11, 14, 29, 30, 39 and 44 buses all stop close by at ‘Cortefiel’.
Opening Times and Admission
The building is open for the public to visit six days of the week, Tuesday to Sunday 10am-1pm and 4pm-6.30pm.
