General Information

Minnewaterpark is the city park of the city of Bruges, Belgium. The park gets its name from the Minnie water lake it contains which is also known as the lake of love due to the tragic romance of Minna and her warrior love Stromberg which has evolved into local legend saying that you will experience eternal love if you walk over the lake bridge with your partner. The park is an enjoyable setting with plenty of greenery and offers a relaxing, peaceful place in the city.

Getting there

The park is situated in the southern area of the historical city centre, You can get to the park on foot from most other city centre sights. The closest bus stop to the park is Brugge Katelijnepoort which is served by the 11 and 12 buses.

Opening Times and Admission

The park is a public park, it is completely free to enjoy and is open at all hours of the day throughout the year.

Our hotel was by the park so we passed through the park when heading to the centre of the city, the park is well hept and was fairly quite when we passed through.
